Heavyweight Odlanier Solis remained unbeaten with a unanimous decision win over 20-year-old Dutch prospect Harry Duiven Jr. in Hattersheim on Saturday night. "La Sombra" controlled the fight from the first bell on and outboxed his opponent over eight rounds taking his own record to 10-0-0 (6 KOs) while Duiven dropped to 12-3-1 (10 KOs). It was Solis' first bout with new trainer Orlando Cuellar in his corner. The fight was a tune-up for the Cuban Olympic gold medalist's next tough test against Frans Botha. "I think it was good that I went the distance", said Solis after. "This Dutch kid showed great heart as he just refused to go down. Anyways I feel very well prepared for Botha and I can't wait to face him in the ring."
