Vyacheslav Uzelkov (18-0, 11 KO), WBA Inter-Continental light heavyweight champion, has finished his training period for the upcoming fight against Denis Simcic (19-0, 10 KO) with final work-out. It started as usual with 15-minutes warm-up. Then the Ukrainian had 2 rounds of shadow boxing. Next came work-out with a heavy bag – Uzelkov polished his combinations for 9 minutes.
Then the boxer switched over to the main part of his work-out: 12-round sparring. During first ten rounds Uzelkov boxed against cruiserweight Vitali Rusal’, who like Uzelkov is one of «K2 East Promotions» fighters.
Sparring went in a “free fight” mode. Uzelkov boxed very aggressively, pressed the action, punching explosively and hard; in defense he mainly used body movements. Counterpunching Rusal’ moved a lot and used his jab, from time to time attacking the opponent with quick flurries of punches from inside.

Last two rounds of sparring Uzelkov boxed with another, «fresher» opponent of lighter weight paying attention mainly to his hand speed and moving in the ring. It is worth noting that Uzelkov did not use protective helmet while sparring.

Vyacheslav finished the work-out with rope-jumping.
