The March 8 Universum Champions Night at the König Palast in Krefeld, Germany, will feature a WBC heavyweight title eliminator. WBC #1 rated heavyweight Vladimir Virchis will be one-half of the equation, however it is not confirmed that the opponent will be Juan Carlos Gomez, who is engaged in a contract dispute with his promoter. Universum Box-Promotion earned the right to stage the elimination fight by winning a purse bid. In a second WBC eliminator, cruiserweight Rudolf Kraj is expected to face Matt Godfrey. The card is also highlighted by two female world title fights, WIBF featherweight world champion Ina Menzer and WIBF/GBU junior bantamweight champion Alesia Graf will be in action. The card will be officially announced at a press conference next week.
