Bunema camp responds!

Alex Bunema's co-manager Roland Jankelson is upset at trainer Freddie Roach's quote to fightnews concerning his charge Roman Karmazin's tiring down the stretch of last weekend's big fight in New York City. "I would like to respond to Freddie Roach's excuse in Fightnews that Roman Karmazin was weakened by weight loss in his fight over the weekend," said Jankelson. "Obviously a boxer that weighed in at 151 lbs for a 154 lb title fight didn't have a problem making weight. The reason Karmazin was weakened in the later rounds was because of the power punches delivered by Alex Bunema. It is a shame that Roach tries to diminish the championship performance of Alex Bunema. Karmazin is a great fighter and a real gentleman. Freddie Roach was a poor loser."
