Arthur retains WBO interim belt!

WBO interim super featherweight champion Alex Arthur (26-1, 19 KOs) survived an eleventh round knockdown to win a unanimous decision over Steve Foster Jr (23-2, 16 KOs) on Saturday night at the Meadowbank Arena in Edinburgh, Scotland. Arthur dropped Foster in round nine with a body shot, but was floored himself with a big right hand two rounds later. In the end, Arthur prevailed 114-111, 114-111, 113-111. It was his first title defense. Joan Guzman holds the WBO's full belt in the 130lb division.

WBO super featherweight champion Ricky Burns (30-2, 7 KOs) retained his title with a twelve round unanimous decision over Andreas Evensen (13-2, 5 KOs) on Saturday night at Braehead Arena in Glasgow, Scotland. Arthur outpoints Sinitsin!

British/Commonwealth super featherweight champion Alex Arthur added the European belt to his collection with a twelve round unanimous decision over Boris Sinitsin at Meadowbank Sports Centre in Edinburgh, Scotland. Arthur (21-1, 17 KOs), who suffered cuts over both eyes, put Sinitsin (46-8-1, 24 KOs) on the deck late in round twelve to put a punctuation mark on the triumph.
