A world twinbill was announced on Saturday in Osaka, Japan. WBC bantamweight champ Hozumi Hasegawa (22-2, 7 KOs) will risk his belt against top-ranked European titlist Mimone Maludrotto (26-1, 9 KOs), Italy, on January 10 in Osaka, Japan. Hasegawa, a slick-punching southpaw making his fifth defense, may experience a tough defense against the game and durable challenger. On the same bill, unbeaten WBA bantam ruler Wladimir Sidorenko (20-0-2, 7 KOs), Ukraine, will put his throne against #4 ranked Japanese Nobuto Ikehara (27-1, 19 KOs), a busy-punching local prospect. It is rare in Japan that a couple of WBC and WBA title bouts in the same category take place here.
