Krasniqi returns March 17!

After an eleven month layoff, heavyweight contender Luan Krasniqi (29-2-1, 14 KOs) will headline the March 17 "Universum Champions Night" card at the Hanns-Martin-Schleyerhalle in Stuttgart, Germany. Also in acton is unbeaten heavyweight Alexander Dimitrenko (24-0, 14 KOs) and WBA bantamweight champion Wladimir Sidorenko (19-0-1, 6 KOs).

Opponents will be named for Krasniqi and Dimitrenko, while Sidorenko will face #1 rated Ricardo Cordoba (29-1-1, 19 KOs) in a rematch of their March 2006 draw.

"Finally again a fight!" said Krasniqi, who is fighting for the fifth time in the venue. "It was the longest preparation I have ever had. Despite the delay and the injury I was always [preparing]. I feel fit. I'll give the answer on March 17."

Trainer Torsten Schmitz added, "Yes, the pressure is big....he must now get himself back to the top of the rankings."

WBO Intercontintal champion Alexander Dimitrenko stated "Bring on anyone. I want to become world champion. Stuttgart is my home and again I will deliver a huge performance here."

WBA bantamweight champion Wladimir Sidorenko vowed to leave no doubt this time around in his rematch with Cordoba. "I actually won the first fight against Cordoba," stated the "Mini-Kraftwerk" today. "He is a good boxer but I will destroy him!"

The card will also feature WBA international heavyweight titlist Taras Bidenko (21-2, 12 KOs), unbeaten super middle Karoly Balzsay (15-0, 11 KOs) and highly regarded middleweight Gennady Golovkin (6-0, 6 KOs).
