Audley KOs Williams!

10 Dec 2006 20:17       hits 4817 Print version

Heavyweight Audley Harrison (21-2, 16 KOs) scored an impressive third round TKO over a battered and bloody Danny Williams (36-6, 29 KOs) on Saturday night at ExCel Arena in London. Harrison ripped open a cut on Williams' nose in round one and cut Williams under the left eye in round two. The one-sided bout was finally halted in round three after Harrison dropped Williams with a vicious uppercut, then connected with the same punch moments later. Time was 2:32. Williams, who won a controversial split decision over Harrison last year, took this fight on one week's notice, replacing injured Matt Skelton. After the fight, the 35-year-old former Olympic gold medalist Harrison vowed to win the world title in 2007 and be undisputed by 2008. "People say I've got no heart and am petrified. The bottom line is that we all have bad days at the office," Audley said in regard to his previous losses to Williams and Dominick Guinn.

What happened in Bilbao!

First of all I want to apologize for all the confusion in this fight. And I want to point out that I never meant to cheat on Danny in any way. To me the first couple of rounds between Konstantin Airich and Danny Williams have been the most entertaining I’ve seen in a while read more ...
