It was a typical Winky Wright performance during Wright's homecoming in front of a big crowd in Tampa after a 14 year hiatus. Wright (51-3-1, 25 KOs) completely dominated Ike Quartey (37-4-1, 31 KOs) over twelve rounds at the St Pete Times Forum. Wright was credited with knockdowns in rounds two and seven, but the first seemed to be a slip and the second was simply a blown call. Scores were 117-110, 117-110, 117-109.

Former IBF super middleweight champion Jeff Lacy (22-1, 17 KOs) barely got past Vitali Tsypko (19-2, 10 KOs) winning a ten round majority decision. In a brutal fight, Lacy controlled the fight early, but Tsypko rallied down the stretch and almost pulled it out. Scores were 95-95 and 96-94 for Lacy.
