Two-time former middlewieght champion Felix Sturm (26-2, 11 KOs) scored a clinical and one-sided sixth round TKO over Gavin Topp (20-3-2) on Saturday night at the Estrel Convention Center in Berlin. The bout was stopped at 1:08 due to a cut suffered by Topp over his left eye on the recommendation of Dr. Torsten Dolla. The cut was opened up by a sharp right hand from Sturm, who put on an almost technically flawless performance. Felix is now hoping to land a shot at newly crowned WBA middleweight champion Mariano Natalio Carrera, who seized the title from Javier Castillejo earlier on the same card.
