Joe DeGuardia's Star Boxing has announced that Andrey Tsurkan will headline an eight-fight card on December 8 at the the Paradise Theater in the Bronx, New York City. Tsurkan (24-2, 15 KOs) will be fighting in a 12-round defense of his NABF light middleweight championship against an opponent to be named.
Unbeaten Roman Shkarupa (12-0-1, 5 KOs) from Charkov, Ukraine will fight Michael Henrotin (13-2, 6 KOs) from Belgium on Nov. 24th in Warminsko-Mazurskie, Poland in a 12 round titlefight. It will be a quick return for the Belgian after his close points defeat against Stas Kashtanov for the WBC Youth title last Nov. 4th in Monaco.

Belgian Michael Henrotin came from the canvas to get a close but deserved split decision against Roman Shkarupa. It was scored 115-110 for the Ukrainian, while the 2 other judges scored for the visitor by 114-111 and 114-112. The local, roared on by 2000 spectators, started well to win the first two rounds and dropped Henrotin with a right hook in the 3rd round.
