When IBF middleweight champion Arthur Abraham enters the ring on September 23 in Wetzlar, Germany against mandatory challenger Edison Miranda, he will do so for the first time as a German citizen. The Armenian-born world champion has received his citizenship in Berlin after successfully passing a linguistic test. Abraham has lived in Germany since the beginning of 2004. The 26-year-old champion promoted by Sauerland Event filed under his birth name Avetik Abrahamyan. His boxing brother Alexander Abraham (16-0-1, 12 KOs) has maintained his Armenian citizenship

Abraham leaves hospital!

One week after his twelve-round war with Edison Miranda, IBF middleweight champion Arthur Abraham has checked out of the Protestant Jungstilling Hospital in Siegen. “I've recovered from the operation and I feel good,” the champion said to the journalists. “Having the belt on me is the most important thing of course. Abraham has surgery!

IBF middleweight champion Arthur Abraham will have to spend three or four days Evangelischen Hospital in Wetzlar, Germany after surgeons successfully repaired his broken jaw suffered Saturday in his win over Edison Miranda. Abraham 159.8, Miranda 159.8!

Edison Miranda arrived late for today's weigh-in ceremony at the Mercure Mercure Hotel Congress in Wetzlar, so Arthur Abraham weighed in first. The champion weighed in at 159.8. Miranda on postponement!

The IBF middleweight championship fight between Edison ‘Pantera’ Miranda and Arthur Abraham was canceled by Abraham due to flu-like symptoms. Abraham: Miranda has no strengths!

Hunger for success is not the only determining thing if you want to become a world champion. There's also a little bit more. I am also hungry. I haven't tormented myself for three months to now concede my title. I am the champion, and many fans in Germany and Armenia are keeping their fingers crossed for me. I don't want to disappoint them.
