Miranda on postponement!

The IBF middleweight championship fight between Edison ‘Pantera’ Miranda and Arthur Abraham was canceled by Abraham due to flu-like symptoms. It was originally scheduled for this Saturday, August 26th in Oldenburg, Germany. Sometime on Monday, during training, Miranda’s team learned that Abraham was bowing out of the fight. Pantera claims he was in prime shape and ready to knock out Abraham. After learning of the cancelled fight Pantera added, “No Problem…I will go back to Puerto Rico, continue to train and stay in great shape and then return to Germany and crush this kid! Is he sick? I doubt it – probably just a case of cold feet. Word got out in Germany about my power - perhaps he read the polls that said over 50% of the boxing world thinks I am going to knock him out in his back yard! He probably felt that he wasn’t quite ready. The truth is he will never be ready. But I give the guy some credit – now he gets to enjoy the belt for another month before I steal it from him.” The fight is going to be re-scheduled for sometime in September in Germany. “If he is already complaining now, I’d hate to hear what he says after the fight. These tactics don’t bother me; they just give me even more desire to destroy him. If he is really sick, then I wish him a speedy recovery, because I want him at 100% when he steps into the ring with me – no excuses!”
