Former two-time world champion Vernon Forrest scored a unanimous decision Saturday night over Ike Quartey, in a matchup of two aging junior middleweights.

Quartey appeared to connect with more punches, and land more jabs and power punches. But the decision went to Forrest, leaving Quartey (37-3-1) dismayed

"I was shocked," said Quartey, who entered the fight undefeated in three bouts since returning from a four-year hiatus. "You saw the fight. They saw the fight. I won the fight."

Judges Melvina Lathan scored the bout 95-94, while Tony Paolillo had it 96-93 and Steve Weisfeld had it 95-94 for Forrest, who won for the second time at in the Theater at the Garden.

Forrest (38-2-0) was deducted a point after a low blow to Quartey in the ninth round, but the deduction didn't fare in the decision. Referee Art Mercante had previously warned Forrest earlier during the fight.

In a co-featured junior middleweight match, Kassim Ouma (24-2-1) defeated New Yorker Sechell Powell (20-1) in a unanimous decision.

"It was the easiest fight of my career," Ouma said. "I never though it would be this easy."

Powell said, "I'm very disappointed losing in my hometown. I didn't fight my fight."
