IBF middleweight champion Arthur Abraham has responded to comments made by Steve Benbasat, the co-manager of Edison "Pantera" Miranda, that Abraham is a 'one-dimensional' fighter. "My punching power is one dimension," said Abraham. "Miranda will get to feel the rest in the ring." Abraham's trainer Ulli Wegner added "These boys probably don't know what they have in front of them. Arthur is unique and maybe has the hardest punch in the middleweight division." Abraham's manager Wilfried Sauerland commented "If his boxer have the same attitude, he will experience a nasty surprise in the ring. I think Miranda is a very strong opponent, but I am certain that Arthur will win because he is the more intelligent boxer."
Sauerland also took issue with criticism by the Miranda camp of the drug testing done in Germany. "The doping tests are international and absolutely neutral," commented Sauerland. "In Germany, we take doping problems very seriously, and it is incomprehensible that the Americans don't do this. Only because of the lax system in the USA are US boxers sometimes found guilty here."
