Former world champion Acelino Freitas (38-1, 32 KOs) won back his former WBO lightweight belt with a twelve round split decision over Zahir Raheem (27-2, 16 KOs) on Saturday night at the Foxwoods Resort in Mashantucket, Connecticut. Freitas got off to a good start, but Raheem was able to turn the tables in the middle rounds as the pace slowed.
