Referee Richard Still, left, pulls on Yoel Judah, Zab Judah's father and trainer, as a unidentified security guard, second from right, grabs Leonard Ellerbee, right, a trainer's assistant for Floyd Mayweather
Mayweather dropped to the canvas in agony as referee Richard Steele grabbed Judah and led him away. Former world champion and Mayweather's trainer Roger Mayweather then jumped into the ring, followed by one of the Nevada Commission corner inspectors, trying to stop him.
Mayweather Jr was hopping around on one leg to the neutral corner as Roger Mayweather is yelling at Judah and rushed towards him.
Richard Steele turned and was trying to hold Roger Mayweather back. A third corner inspector is in the ring now as Steele is being pushed by Roger Mayweather. Yoel Judah then walks towards them purposely and quickly and throws a punch at Roger Mayweather
Marc Ratner, Executive Director of the Nevada State Athletic Commission, is on the ring apron yelling at them as police and security officers reach the ropes and enter the ring. Floyd Mayweather Jr is in the neutral corner watching the drama unfold in front of him.
As Yoel Judah, the former kick-boxing champion, takes a swing at Roger Mayweather, another of Mayweather's cornermen is behind them. Richard Steele is in between the two trainers. Zab Judah then comes from behind and punches Mayweather's second cornerman with a right hand in the back of the head. Roger Mayweather then spins and grabs Zab Judah and they wrestle on the ropes. Steele then grabs Yoel Judah
Roger Mayweather has Zab Judah grabbed around the neck on the ropes, only feet away from where Floyd is in the neutral corner watching. A ring official and police officer are trying to break them.
Another of Mayweather's cornermen rushes in, pursued by two security men, and attacks Yoel Judah from the side. Twenty men now crush into the corner where Floyd is standing. Mayweather's cornerman has Yoel Judah in a bear hug as they are trying to be separated by police and security.
There are now forty people in the ring, as security men and Las Vegas Police try to regain control and prevent anyone else from entering. A number of scuffles continue.
As calm is finally restored, Marc Ratner then makes his way to both corners to tell them of the decision to continue the fight.
"I'm not a dirty fighter," claimed Judah after the fight. "Mayweather is a great defensive fighter. Every time that I went to throw body shots, he would drop. My thing was to get a little bit extra 'oomph' in my body shots. I didn't mean it. I'm not a dirty fighter. But his Uncle Roger jumped in began to choke me. Security had my arm and he was choking me."
"Roger said he knew Zab was going to do something dirty eventually, once the pressure gets to him," said Floyd Mayweather Jr.
After the incident, it also appeared that no points where deducted. Judah was not penalised for his low blow and punch to the back of the head of Mayweather.
The real danger for Mayweather in this incident appeared to be his corner's actions. His Uncle and trainer Roger Mayweather entered the ring to protest after Judah had landed his low blow and punch to the back of the head during the round. Roger Mayweather had no right to be in there and only inflamed the situation, something that the Nevada State Athletic Commission will now be looking into closely.
Both fighter's purses have been withheld by the Nevada State Athletic Commission and Roger Mayweather has been suspended.
Floyd Mayweather Jr was not too upset about the incident after he had won the fight.
"That's a part of boxing," he explained. "These things happen in boxing. I don't hate Zab. I've got sportsmanship. When another guy is doing something, I'm not going to do it. Two wrongs don't make a right. Things happen in the sport of boxing."
