WBC interim flyweight titlist Jorge "Travieso" Arce (43-3-1, 33 KOs) stopped former two-time WBO champion Adonis Rivas (21-9-2, 10 KOs) for the second time in two months on Saturday night at the Plaza de Toros, Cancún, ROO, Mexico. The rematch made because it was felt Arce's tenth round stoppage of Rivas on December 16 was premature. This time there was no question as Rivas quit in his corner after round six. Arce put on a brilliant performance, repeatedly pummeling Rivas on the with hard punches. After the fight Arce and more champion Rosendo Alvarez got into a brief scuffle.
