Bad luck for Michel Trabant. The German welterweight contender of the Universum boxing stable can’t fight the IBF eliminator scheduled for November 26 in Leverkusen, Germany. The 26-year-old man from Berlin suffered a deep cut on his eye during a sparring session on Thursday. Trabant, 41-2 (18), is the second major fighter to drop off the boxing show at Wilhelm-Dopatka-Halle. One week ago Felix Sturm injured his left elbow and had to cancel his contest for the WBA middleweight title scheduled for November 26 as well. Still on are the WBA bantamweight title fight between champion Wladimir Sidorenko and his challenger Jose Jesus Lopez. In another championship match Andreas Kotelnik takes on Mohamad Abdulaev in a jr. welterweight contest for the WBA intercontinental crown and the WBO Asia Pacific title.
