Barrera: I was able to dominate!

"I didn’t underestimate him as I don’t underestimate any of my opponents," said WBC/IBF super featherweight champion Marco Antonio Barrera after defeating Robbie Peden. "I just know that because of my abilities, I was able to dominate....It didn't matter that we had worked with each other in the gym before. I knew my speed and ability would be too much for him. We knew he was going to come out fast and he did. But I was able to use my boxing skills to slow him down and wear him down. I wasn’t worried about him coming in heavier (11 pounds.) You can see it has already been like that—he was heavier, Morales was heavier. It’s okay with me. I’ll fight anyone, anyway. I dedicate this fight to John Jackson, my former promoter, who is in the hospital at this time."
