Japanese bantamweight Manabu Fukushima's crack at the WBA belt against Wladimir Sidorenko, Ukraine, on October 15 has been cancelled on Saturday as Fukushima suffered a rupture of the calf muscle and cannot walk or move now. It was a really ill-fated title bout, as Sidorenko's thumb fracture once postponed it until October. As Fukushima needs some months before his complete recovery, Sidorenko will face the WBA interim champ Poonsawat Kratindaeng-Gym, Thailand, at first, and if victorious, he will face the Japanese with his WBA throne at stake.
