Former world champion Erik Morales, who is spending his birthday in Mexico City, says he is prepared to move to conquer the lightweight division, beginning with his September 10 fight against Zahir Raheem. "If I fight Manny Pacquiao, that would be the only fight I would do at 130," said Morales. "Some people think I didn't beat him at his best. I think I did, and I can do it anytime I want....I do want to be a lightweight champion and wouldn't have any problem fighting the winner of Corrales-Castillo."

Three-time world champion Erik 'El Terrible' Morales said today he expects Zahir Raheem "to be real quick in the ring on Sept. 10, so I'm preparing deal with it. If I can, I will take him out. If not, I'm prepared to go 12 rounds," said Morales, who today began his third week of training at the Centro Ceremorial Otomi in the mountains north of Mexico City.
