In a six round Heavyweight battle, Volodia "Sleeping Killer" Lazebnik improved his undefeated record to 8-0, 5 KO's with a second round TKO annihilation of Michael Middleton (11-15-1, 5 KO's) at the time of 2:23. A left hook/right hook combination dropped Middleton early in the first round, but Middleton bounced right up and continued his attack to the body of Lazebnik. A solid right hook dropped Middleton again at the end of the first round. Middleton was able to beat the count, and the bell rang to end the round before Lazebnik had time to finish him off. Lazebnik started the second round with four consecutive hooks to the midsection of Middleton followed by a right uppercut that shook the already damaged fighter. Powerful right hooks to the side and left hooks to the head had Middleton in trouble again in round two. With nose bloodied, Middleton tried to fight back, but was pummeled with hard right hooks which sent him down. A barrage of further punishment sent Middleton down for the third and final time as referee Mike England mercifully jumped in and immediately waved off the fight.
