Early Fight Results From Grand Elysse in Hamburg

Hamburg, Germany, Grand Elysee Hotel - Former WBA cruiserweight king Firat Arslan (32-5, 21KOs) stopped Argentinian Orlando Antonio Faris (23-11) in two of a scheduled ten-rounder. Farias went down twice from southpaw left hooks to the body and was under pressure against the ropes when stopped.

Raul Bejaran (14-1, 6KOs) won the vacant WBO European middleweight title with a unanimous decision over Daniel Urbanski (21-7), who was down in the last round. It was scored 116-111, 117-110 and 120-107. Bejaran dominated the action but couldn´t get to the Pole until the final round.

Ina Menzer (27-1, 10KOs) outscored Milena Koleva (3-4) after a rather drab eight rounder (over two minute rounds).

Featherweight Marcel Mayerdiercks (21-0, 5KOs) outscored Brazlian Roberto Santos de Jesus (13-5) over eight.

Former WBC jr light champ Vitali Tajbert (22-2, 6KOs) won clearly over Venezuelan Jose Luis Graterol (14-11) but was from his best in this eight-round bout. The scores were 78-74, 79-73 and 78-76.

Universum's big show opened up with heavyweight Vladimir Tereshkin (14-0-1, 7KOs) winning on a disqualification in the fifth round over Evgeny Orlov (13-11), a giant of a man at about 150 kg/330 lbs. Orlov used everything in the book, plus a little more, and had the tiring Tereshkin under pressure when the fight was after three points deductions.
