On January 14, former world champion and Super Six fighter Arthur Abraham (32-3, 26 KOs) returns to the ring against Pablo Oscar Natalio Farias (19-1, 11 KOs) at the Baden Arena in Offenburg, Germany. It will be his first bout since losing to Andre Ward in May 2011. After three defeats in the Super Six tournament, he has received a lot of criticism. “Well, if you lose, there is criticism,” said King Arthur. “That’s alright. You have to live [with it]. But now I don’t think about it anymore. I’m finished with it. For me, it’s what’s coming.”

Explaining his Super Six defeats, Abraham said, “I wouldn’t really say that I boxed badly or made many mistakes. I was just too passive in the fights.” For the bout against Farias, Abraham trained through the holidays and is well prepared. He vows to be more active and to punch more. When asked what his goals are for 2012, he stated, “There is only one goal, I want to be world champion!”
