One source reports that fight between Mexican stars Marco Antonio Rubio and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. is confirmed with both boxers having signed the contract to fight on February 4 in San Antonio, Texas, for Chavez’ WBC middleweight world title. The source said that Rubio signed during the WBC Convention in Las Vegas and Chavez Jr. has recently signed. An official announcement is expected next week. Rubio and trainer Jorge Rodriguez are considering preparing at the Otomi Ceremonial Center in Temoaya or in Toluca, Mexico, but could finish his camp in Torreon. The winner of Chavez-Rubio will face Sergio “Maravilla” Martinez in 2012.
