Highly regarded heavyweight Robert “The Nordic Nightmare” Helenius (17-0, 11 KOs) won an extremely controversial split decision over Dereck “Del Boy” Chisora (15-2, 9 KOs) to claim the vacant European championship on Saturday night in the main event at the Hartwall Arena in Helsinki, Finland. Looking nothing like he did in a lackluster loss to Tyson Fury, Chisora was very aggressive in an exciting round one where both fighters landed good shots. More good exchanges in the following rounds as Chisora continued to press the action. Good fourth round for Chisora. Nice toe-to-toe action in the sixth. Chisora definitely with the higher work rate throughout the fight. Scores were 115-113, 115-113 Helenius, 115-113 Chisora.
