Erdei gears up for IBF title challenge

Zsolt Erdei went through the first week of his preparation time in Germany successfully. Under the guidance of his coach Fritz Sdunek and his physical coach Zoltan Klink he continued his preparations and he made his first effective sparring sessions and continues his special fitness programm.

Zsolt Erdei: “It’s was a first week of sparring here in Cologne. I had the best conditions in the Felix-Sturm-Gym to start this phase. Thanks for the help by the Felix Sturm team! Coach Fritz Sdunek and I had harmony immediately. Now the intensive training for the next five weeks can go on – I’m in a good mood, in best condition. I’m focused and prepared for this great challenge on New Years Eve against the IBF champ Tavoris Cloud in Anaheim!”

The two-time world champion also used his staying and preparation time in Cologne to visit the headquarter of his official sportline sponsor Paffen Sport. In a kind of shopping he chooses the new team stuff, new gloves and many other necessary and useful equipement for the trip of the “Zsolt Erdei boxing team” to the States. In meetings with the owner Walter Knieps and his son Thomas Knieps they discussed the challenge of his world championship fight against IBF light heavyweight champion Tavoris Cloud Dec 31. in Anaheim / USA. This visit was a sign of a bothside sympathy and also another step for a longtime successful relationship. Paffen Sport is also going to suprise the fans with a special “Zsolt Erdei” fan stuff package!
