Unbeaten WBO jr welterweight champion Timothy Bradley (28-0, 12 KOs) scored a workmanlike eighth round TKO over former two-division world champion Joel Casamayor (38-6-1, 22 KOs). Bradley was in command the whole way against the 40-year-old Casamayor, who was deducted a point for holding in round four by referee Vic Drakulich. Bradley dropped Casamayor with a body shot in the fifth. Casamayor was on the canvas again in the sixth and for a third time at the end of the eighth when cornerman Miguel Diaz said ‘no more.’ Time was 2:59.
