Comment Nate Campbell was stripped of his IBF, WBO and WBA belts as he failed to make weight for the fight. Funeka did, however, allow the fight to proceed and did not request any additional purse from Campbell. Campbell announced after the weigh-in that this would be his last fight in the lightweight division. Funeka down in rounds two and eleven; both from looping, overhand rights.

WBO/IBF lightweight champion Nate Campbell initially weighed in at 138 lbs. for Saturday’s bout against Ali Funeka. He was given two hours to lose 3 lbs., but arrived back at the scale slightly after the two hours had expired. Campbell weighed 137.5 upon his return, and thus loses both titles. read more ...
