Promoter Don King has selected the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois, for Valuev's October 7 defense against Monte Barrett according to the Chicago Tribune. HBO announces Valuev-Barrett!

Word on the street for quite some time has been that WBA heavyweight champion Nikolai Valuev would defend against Monte Barrett on October 7, but it was never officially announced until Saturday night by HBO, which will televise the fight.
