Calzaghe to face Magee!

Unbeaten WBO super-middleweight champion Joe Calzaghe (38-0) will make a voluntary defense of his title against WBA #10 Brian Magee (23-1) in Belfast on March 18th. The fight will take place at the historic King's Hall which was the scene of many big nights of Irish Boxing in the 1990's. Former unified welterweight world champion and formerly retired Ricardo Mayorga has apparently reconsidered his short and very brief retirement and will be fighting again. In Managua, Nicaragua local newspapers are announcing that "El Matador" Mayorga will be fighting the 16th of April in Chicago against Alex "Terra" Garcia (28-1) who formerly owned the WBA Super welterweight title. Beck recovered well after being floored in round two, and both fighters rocked each other in round three. The complexion of the fight changed when Barrett was cut over the left eye in round four.
