GL: What the latest regarding your fight with IBF heavyweight champion Chris Byrd? "I don't think I know a whole lot about it. My people understand that the negotiations for us have been going very well, we just don't know what's going on around the corner on the other side with Chris Byrd and his team. We don't have a date or place, and I'm just trying to stay as patient as possible."

- I'm sure, many of you have alreadry read various oppinions concerning this problem. But in my opinion, I have the full right to fight for the IBF heavyweight championship title against Chris Byrd.

Jr welter contender Junior Witter, who defends his European title against mandatory contender Andreas Kotelnik at the Nottingham Arena on Saturday night, believes that he would have knocked out the Kostya Tszyu that fought Ricky Hatton last month. "Lets face it, Tszyu was a shadow of what he used to be," said Witter. WBO light heavyweight champion Zsolt Erdei will make the next defense of his title against former world champion Mehdi Sahnoune headlining Saturday's big Universum Box-Promotion card at Color Line Arena in Hamburg. The 31-year-old Erdei, a former world champion in the amateurs, is undefeated as a pro with a record of 22-0 and 13 knockouts. He has made three successful defenses since seizing the WBO belt from Julio Gonzalez in January 2004. He spoke about what is expected to be his toughest defense yet.
