WBC/WBO middleweight champion Jermain Taylor (27-0-1, 17 KOs) won a slow-paced twelve-round split decision over IBF 154lb titlist Cory Spinks (36-4, 11 KOs) on Saturday night at the FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tennessee. In a tactical fight with very low punch output, Spinks had some success outboxing Taylor at times, but Jermain landed the harder shots.
