IBF, WBO and IBO Heavyweight Champion Wladimir Klitschko (54-3, 48 KOs) will defend his titles against Russian Alexander Povetkin (19-0, 14 KOs) on September 11. Venue will be the Commerzbank-Arena Frankfurt, Germany, which will have a capacity of 54,000 on fight night. The Commerzbank-Arena is the home of German soccer team Eintracht Frankfurt. In the main event, former two-time heavyweight champion Michael Moorer (48-4-1, 38 KOs) scored a spectacular first round knockout over Cliff Couser (26-11-2, 14 KOs) in his first ring appearance in two years. Moorer exploded off the ropes with two right hooks to knock Couser cold at 1:36. Couser was given oxygen after the bout and appeared to be OK a few minutes later. He had announced his retirement in April, but at the top of Friday’s show (9:03 p.m. ET) Moorer told host Brian Kenny he was coming back.
