It looks like the next foe for Russian heavyweight giant Nicolai Valuev (40-0; 30KOs) will be American fringe contender Clifford Etienne (29-3-2; 20KOs). Etienne is tentatively booked in to fight Valuev on May 14 in Bayreuth, Germany, on a defense of the Russian's WBA I/C title. An official request has already been sent to the WBA offices in Maracaibo, Venezuela, and an answer is expected pretty soon.
