It appears the wheels are rolling the anticipated fight between IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko and former cruiserweight champ David Haye, scheduled to re-debut at heavyweight in the fall. Klitschko is scheduled to defend his titles against IBF mandatory Alexander Povetkin, also in the fall.

Richard Schaefer, CEO for Golden Boy Promotions, told Sports Illustrated that he's had talks with Shelly Finkel, business manager for Klitschko, about holding the fight in 2009 when both fighters are done with their obligations. Most have said the fight would land in the first quarter of the year. Finkel has a very close relationship with Golden Boy so both sides are confident a deal can be reached.

"I talked to [Klitschko business manager] Shelly Finkel and that fight is going to happen next year," Schaefer said. "After Wladimir finishes his mandatory fight, he is free, and so is David. So we will get a deal done."

Klitschko told the magazine that he's tired of Haye running his mouth and he's more than willing to give Haye the homecourt advantage by making the fight in England.

"He's been talking about me a lot," Klitschko said. "I want to fight him and shut him up. I think a fight in England would be special. I like it when the crowd is against me. I think I fight better."
